What We Offer

We want to remove the barriers to quality care.

No Traveling
Stop driving in traffic, looking for parking, and sitting in cramped waiting rooms. Pick a time and place most convenient for you.
No Waiting
Waiting for your doctor's visit, prescriptions, authorizations, waiting lists at clinics…it could be months before you see a provider! Skip the wait. Let us give you the care you need when you need it most.
Expert Care
Don’t settle with being assigned multiple therapists and being handed off to aides. We provide only one-on-one evaluation and treatments provided by a residency-trained Doctor of Physical Therapy. We believe consistent care leads to the best results and a great experience.
Faster Results
A standard prescription for physical therapy can be up to 12 weeks. That’s a long time! We focus on patient-driven, individualized treatment plans to greatly reduce the time needed for rehab. Return quickly to the things that matter most to you.

Paul Chang, DPT

My name is Paul and I started Lumidy Physical Therapy to be better able to provide high quality care for my clients without the restrictions of our healthcare industry. I received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Southern California in 2016 and became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist following an intensive orthopedic residency program in 2018. I have a sub-specialty in vestibular rehabilitation and have over 10 years of experience treating various orthopedic, post-operative, vertigo, and balance conditions in the clinic. I know that the rehabilitation process can be daunting to take on alone. My treatment style involves a holistic approach looking at your lifestyle and habits while implementing hands-on techniques, therapeutic exercises, and education. My mission is to empower you with the tools and knowledge to overcome your condition and reach your goals.

Frequently Asked Questions

The current healthcare environment often requires patients to spend time waiting to see their primary doctor, waiting to see a specialist, waiting for testing, and finally receiving a PT prescription. This process can take months…and even longer if you are waiting on authorizations. Mobile physical therapy skips this outdated process and brings outpatient treatment directly to your home. We accommodate for your busy schedule, limitations to travel, or any other reasons that might restrict your access to physical therapy. Receive the care you need when you need it most.

The reality for most outpatient clinics today is that therapists are forced to churn out patients to meet one thing: the bottom line. Treatment restrictions, limited treatment time, and inconsistent care are unfortunate consequences of this system. In a healthcare environment focused on volume and numbers, we believe true patient care should focus on one thing: the patient. We offer thorough clinical examinations, only one-on-one treatments, take the time to address all questions and concerns, and guide you throughout the rehab process. We want to offer a more comprehensive approach to therapy, leading to better results and a more enjoyable experience. Let us provide physical therapy the way it should be.

We treat many orthopedic and dizziness conditions including but not limited to: Neck: muscle spasm, cervical stenosis, cervical radiculopathy, cervicogenic headaches/dizziness Shoulder: rotator cuff repair, tendonitis, total shoulder replacement, labral tears Back: degenerative disc disease, postural dysfunction, SI joint dysfunction, lumbar stenosis, Sciatica Hip: bursitis, total hip replacement, impingement, osteoarthritis Knee: tendonitis, ligament injury, total knee replacement, patellofemoral dysfunction, meniscus injury, osteoarthritis, muscle strain Ankle & Foot: Plantar Fasciitis, ankle sprain/strain, tendonitis, Achilles injury Vertigo, dizziness and imbalance: BPPV, vestibular hypofunction, dysequilbrium, falls prevention

You will first undergo a thorough clinical examination with a residency-trained Doctor of Physical Therapy to determine the source of your symptoms and decide on an appropriate treatment plan. Future sessions are based off of this plan of care, but all sessions are flexible. We believe that collaborative care leads to better results. We promote all clients to collaborate with us in order to better personalize their care. Treatments will involve a combination of hands-on therapy, movement re-education, therapeutic exercise, and education. You will also be provided a home exercise program to progress your rehab in between sessions. All sessions are scheduled for 1 hour.

California’s Direct Access law allows for up to 12 visits or 45 days of physical therapy without a referral. After 12 visits or 45 days, a visit with your physician is required in order to continue physical therapy services. Please note that clients receiving wellness visits do not need a prescription.

Start with a phone call or e-mail to see if you are a good match for our services. Schedule your first appointment. Be seen for your initial visit at your chosen location. Establish a personalized plan of care

Lumidy Physical Therapy does NOT accept insurances and chooses to be OUT OF NETWORK with all insurance plans. We believe contractual agreements with insurances impose limitations on your care. We believe that you as the client should have control of your own rehabilitation journey. Some insurance plans (primarily PPO plans) provide out of network benefits for physical therapy and may offer partial reimbursement for these services. We can provide a superbill (invoice) which you can use to submit a claim to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please contact your insurance provider for more details regarding out of network benefits. Please feel free to contact us for more details.

Payment is collected in full at time of service in the form of cash or payment application. As we are not contracted with insurances, Lumidy Physical Therapy will not submit insurance claims on your behalf. A superbill can be provided upon request for those seeking out of network benefits with a PPO plan.

We serve primarily clients within the San Gabriel Valley at this time. We may be able to accommodate for clients located further out for an additional travel fee. Accomodations will be made on a case-by-case basis. Please feel free to contact us for more details.
